In Vegetable and Salad lines:

  • Australian Asparagus is in season.
  • Corn, Beans and Capsicum are scarce and expensive.
  • Most other vegetable and salad lines are good and prices are reasonable.

The best value vegetable and salad items are:

  • Qld Grey Pumpkin
  • Chats (small white) Potatoes
  • Cauliflower
  • Cabbage and Chinese Cabbage
  • Asparagus
  • Broccoli
  • Zucchini
  • Lebanese Cucumbers
  • Fennel
  • Regular and Cherry Tomatoes
  • Asian Vegetables
  • Silverbeet Spinach
  • Salad Mix, Baby Spinach and Rocket

In Fruit,

  • Red Papaya and Pineapples (topless) are nice.
  • Rockmelons and Honeydew melons are nice too.
  • Seedless Watermelon is available again.
  • Valencia Oranges, Limes and Ruby Grapefruit are in season. Lemons are very scarce. Afourer Mandarins are finishing and Navel Oranges have finished.
  • Jazz, Pink Lady, Gala, Red Delicious and Granny Smith apples are available and good. Store apples covered in the fridge to keep them crisp.
  • Bananas are good and reasonably priced.
  • Packham Pears are still very good. Beurre Bosc and Nashi Pears have finished.
  • USA Red Seedless Grapes are nice but we have stopped Green Grapes.
  • New Zealand Kiwifruit and Kiwi Gold are still good.
  • Mangoes are in-between regions and supply is light.
  • Peaches and Nectarines (yellow fruit) have started. The early fruit is nice but expensive.
  • Strawberries and Blueberries are nice.
  • Passionfruit is in-between seasons and not available.

Other Items,

  • Free-Range Eggs, Medjool Dates and Honey are available.
